Matthew T. Reiter

Matthew T. Reiter heads Bär & Karrer’s litigation practice. He specializes in litigation and arbitration. He has extensive experience in a wide range of state court and administrative proceedings (including criminal investigations and matters of white collar crime, enforcement proceedings and international judicial assistance), but focuses on the resolution of large domestic and international commercial disputes. He is often representing clients in high-profile employment law litigation and “is widely recognized on the market for his employment expertise” (Chambers Europe 2010).

Matthew Reiter has successfully represented clients in numerous domestic and international arbitrations, both in ad hoc and institutional proceedings (in particular ICC, ZCC/Swiss Rules), in particular relating to joint ventures and shareholders' agreements, large work and construction contracts, M&A transactions and supply agreements.

Clients of Matthew Reiter include individuals and listed and non-listed domestic and foreign companies from various industries, including banking and services, the pharmaceutical and chemical industry, the energy sector, the automotive industry, aviation and construction.
